Exchange of sensor on Prosonic M FMU42/FMU44
Assembly the sensor FMU42/FMU44 to housing F12/T12

Mounting bracket consists of:
71022967
mounting plate
942666-0000 mounting bracket FAU20
incl. mounting srews

Order of assembly:
Put flat gasket over the sensor and screw the ultrasonic sensor on the flange/mounting bracket.

Make sure, that the mounting plate is in the right position (see figure below).
Hand-tighten the knurled nut on the sensor.

Grease the O-ring with silicone grease.

Slide housing on the sensor until stop.

Screw in the stop screw until tight, then again loosen it 1/2 to 1 turn.

Plug in the ribbon cable from the electronics module at the sensor (the sensor can be swivelled).

insert electronics module into the housing . . .

at the same time feed cable from the terminal module through electronics housing, plug into circuit board.
Fix electronics module with 2 screws.

Position front panel on electronics housing and let the three catch hooks snap in.

Connect cable to the terminal module (housing F12 or T12), at housing F12 fix cover with 2 screws.
If desired, plug the cable of the display into electronics.

Align the housing in desired position tighten the set screw well.

Adjustment:
When switching on the instrument a recognition of the sensor is given. All sensor parameters will be loaded into the electronics and the instrument will run without a new
adjustment. If the sensor type has been changed (e.g. FMU40 against FMU42) the error code E521 appears on the display after switching on. In this case a reset has to be made.
Input the code "333" in level "diagnostics" (matrix field V9H3). The instrument is now ready for operation.

Ex i-devices:
The repair has to be performed such, that the voltage isolation of the Ex ia circuits against ground is maintained.
If required, a test can be performed with 500 Veff over a time period of 60 s.
Ex d-devices:
Attention has to be paid not to damage the threads.
In other case the part has to be exchanged.
