3.3.5 Extraction (recovery)

If the air conditioning system has to be drained, the air conditioning system should be operated for
approx. 10 minutes.
(Maximum fan speed, increased engine idling speed, the refrigerant-oil mixture is heated = less

refrigerant oil is sucked off via the service station)

The air conditioning system is then drained via the service station on the low and high pressure
side.
Wait 5 minutes, observe the pressure gauge.

If there is a pressure increase, start up the service station for the second time.
(The pressure increase is caused by the evaporation of the refrigerant from the
refrigerant oil)
If necessary, repeat this work until the pressure in the refrigeration circuit remains stable for 2
•
minutes.
•
Finally, use the service station to determine the amount of refrigerant oil that has been extracted.
