The ATH AC1234yf is intended exclusively for professional use and should only be operated by specialists
or a qualified person.
Since July 4, 2010, according to the Chemicals Climate Protection Ordinance, activities on vehicle air
conditioning systems (recovery) may only be carried out by persons who have a certificate of competence.
The minimum requirements for specialist training are described in Regulation (EC) No. 307/2008.
In this context, it should be noted that, in the opinion of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature
Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), the expertise requirements also relate to air conditioning systems
in commercial vehicles, although the scope of Regulation (EC) No. 307/2008 only applies to passenger cars
and light commercial vehicles is restricted. This means that for activities in connection with the recovery of
refrigerants from vehicle air conditioning systems for vehicle interior air conditioning (passenger cells and
driver's cab) in trucks, buses, construction machinery and other commercial vehicles, a certificate of
competence based on the requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 307 is required / 2008 required.
