Handling

Input/ output operations at the STATION are restricted to a few LED indicators and keys. Quite a
number of applications, however, require operations such as control of measuring values or
adaptation of operating parameters.
The I/O terminal is delivered with a numeric keyboard disposing of a CLEAR and ENTER key. The
available LEDs, additional functions keys, 8 additional ports and a small 2x8 LCD live up to the most
sophisticated application tasks.
The IOT is directly connectable to the STATION (it does not require a 2W-SM modem). The supplied
comprising demonstration programs ensure fast access to programming of routines relevant to the
IOT.

The IOT version with LCD backlight is additionally equipped with a short demonstration program for
adjustment of the display luminosity: IO_TERMINAL_DIMMER_UTILITY
It might be necessary to change the keyboard code because of technical modifications. The
delivered utility IO_TERMINAL_KEY_UTILITY enables the user to read out analog values assigned to
certain keys and to adjust the decoder table accordingly.
