C-Control I/O Terminal
Product Description
Prescribed use
The I/O TERMINAL is an extension to your C-Control STATION which offers enhanced input and out-
put operations. A use different to the one described before is not admissible.
Safety Instructions
Please dedicate your special attention to this section! Non-observance of safety instructions
bears the risk of mortal danger as consequence of electric shock or burning!
1. The IOT is connected to the STATION via 7 terminals. Basically, these can be divided into
operating-voltage terminals 1 and 2 and bus connection terminals to the STATION 15 to19.
Accidental confusion of the terminals may cause short-circuit and therefore bears the risk of fire;
module and connected equipment might be seriously damaged!
2. The IOT must not be used together with appliances which directly or indirectly serve for medical,
health or life support purposes, or the operation of which might cause property damage or
personal injuries. The IOT must not be operated in hazardous locations or in any environment
exposed to aggressive chemicals.
WARNING:
Never connect a terminal of the IOT to the mains voltage
Performance
The I/O TERMINAL integrates all necessary subassemblies to facilitate comfortable input/ output
operations together with a C-Control STATION. One A/D converter and three ports (one in addition
with the backlit LCD version) are assigned by the I/O TERMINAL. In order to compensate for the
assigned ports, the terminal is equipped with eight outputs. The I/O TERMINAL may be powered by
the STATION
• LCD 2x8 characters (with version-specific backlight)
• numeric keyboard with ENTER and CLEAR key, 3 function keys
• 5 LEDs, three of which two-colour
• 8 OUTPUT ports
• 12V operating voltage
These fittings will enable you to find solutions to even sophisticated control tasks in a very short period
of time and provides for comfortable reading and changing of operation parameters.
