Side table 376
First of all we wish to thank you for the
trust you placed in us by selecting a
VERMEIREN product.
Before using the side table, read the
instruction manual carefully:
familiarise you with this product. You will
also be given hints about the care and
service of your side
remember that observance of our hints
would keep your side table in an excellent
condition of preservation and it will
function perfectly even after years of use.
If you have any further questions, please
consult your specialist dealer.

Purpose
This side table can be pushed in beneath
a patient's bed and used as a tray for
holding various objects. It cannot be used
for supporting the patient
persons. It can also not be used for
conveying

Assembling
Position the lower frame on the 4
table. Please
castors. Insert the tubes of the upper
frame into the appropriate receptacles of
the lower frame and secure it at the
desired height by means of the wing nuts
(minimum depth of insertion: 80 mm).
Make sure that the trays of the upper
frame hang freely over the lower frame.
N.B: Check that the inserted tubes are
not jammed or skew and that they are
pushed in fully.
N.B: Make sure that the wing nuts are
tightened properly before anything is
placed on the trays.
Adjustments
The tray can be pulled out horizontally to
adjust its length and is also angle
adjustable. Loosen the lever beneath the
tray. Now the length of the tray can be
adjusted as well as its angle. Retighten
the lever.
Loosen the wing nuts on the lower frame.
Now the height of the table can be
adjusted. Retighten the wing nuts. Check
4 that the tray is firmly secured.
 The stability of the product is
affected when the tray is adjusted
(danger of tipping over).
 The tray should be tilted only so far
that nothing will fall off.

 Do not lift the table by means of the

trays. These parts are adjustable and
might cause injury or damage when raised
up if they are not properly secured.
 Do not place any objects larger than
the trays on them. These could fall and
cause injury / damage.

the table (15 kg) with heavy objects --
danger of tipping over !

 The side table must only be set up
indoors on level surfaces. When in use,
check that all 4 castors press evenly on
the floor.
 Repair work may only be undertaken
by the authorised dealer.
 Take note of the instructions for care
and service. The manufacturer is not liable

servicing/care.
Care
It is recommended to use a soapy solution
for cleaning. The cleaning liquid should in
any case have a pH value of at least 6. Do
not use a cleaning agent which contains
solvents. Observe the instructions of the
cleaning liquid used. Use a damp cloth
and lukewarm water for cleaning. Avoid
soaking. Do not use metal brushes or any
other sharp-edged or pointed cleaning
utensils. In the case of damage to the
varnish or the woodwork, consult your
specialist dealer. Regular care would
ensure that your side table is preserved in
a perfectly functional condition.
Disinfection
For sterilisation use only disinfectants
suitable for treating varnished metal and
wood surfaces. Observe the instructions
of the cleaning liquid used. Use only
proved processes (for
disinfection) and disinfectants included in
the list of the Robert Koch Institute
(information can be obtained
www.rki.de). Disinfections may only be
undertaken by trained persons. Consult
your specialist dealer.
Repairs / Service / Inspection
You should use only
VERMEIREN replacement parts. Repairs
and renovations may only be undertaken
by trained persons. Make use of the
services offered by your specialist dealer.
He would gladly assist you further in
regard to service and repairs.
Before you resume use of the table, it
should be serviced according to the
following criteria:
• Completeness
• Adjustment functions
• Check the castors (stability, tracking,
fixing screws)
• Setting of the wing nuts, lever
(Condition, thread, holding security)
• Frames, (deformation, stability)
• Trays, (closed surfaces, splinters, tears)
• Damaged varnish (remove possible rust
and repaint)
