Special conditions

1. All national regulations governing installation and operation regulations are to be
observed when mounting this electrical device in an explosion hazardous area
(Cat. 3G/Zone 2).
2. Before switching on the device, ensure that the power supply voltage lies within
the range stated on the nameplate.
3. Repairs (e.g. changing the fuse or electronics module) may only be carried out
with the power supply turned off.
4. All technical data issued by the manufacture are to be observed.
5. For interconnection between transmitter and sensors the prefabricated cables
delivered by Endress+Hauser must be used. Replace defective cables with
new cables.
6. Only cable entries are to be used which comply with Category 3G/Zone 2
standards.

General warnings

• Mounting, electrical installation, commissioning and maintenance are to be carried
out by qualified personnel only who are also trained in explosion protection.
• For rotating the display, it is only permitted to open the housing screw cover after
power has been removed.
