1. INSTALLATION AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1.1. INSTALLATION
Make sure that the connection to the mains corresponds to the one on the identification label at the bottom of
your apparatus. Foresee a good earthing. Put the apparatus on a solid table and make sure it stays flat and
levelled.
1.2. FAULTS
If your grill does not work, check the following:
1. if the plug is well plugged in.
2. are the fuses in the supply line intact.
3. is the energy loss switch out.
Bring the apparatus to the most nearby Combisteel service center.
1.3. SAFETY
1. never open the apparatus yourself.
2. always foresee a good earthing.
3. never immerse the apparatus in water.
4. never touch the griddle when the apparatus is working.
5. never leave paper or textile on the resistances.
1.4. ENERGY SAVING
The VAPOGRILL is sparing with energy mainly because the apparatus never has to be in a stand-by position, for
the apparatus is at operating temperature after 2 minutes. Preheating is superfluous. do not keep the heating
elements on maximum power (position 3) unloaded after the grilling this could cause overheating and
permanent deformation of the heating elements.
1.5. MAINTENANCE
Your VAPOGRILL is self-cleaning by pyrolysis, i.e. that the grill surface burns itself clean by overheating of the grill
element. It suffices to turn the knob into its highest position after grilling (pos.3) during 20 minutes, whilst the
water tray remains filled with ± 4 cm of water.
The grill will then become white-grey and the fur on the element is released from itself. Continue cleaning the
grill with a cupper brush. Never use a knife or a steel brush as that may damage the grill.
The catching tray is made of heavy enamelled steel plate, easy to clean and suited for any type of dish washing
machine. To remove the tray, turn away the grill element and leave it in its vertical position. The stainless steel
base plate can be cleaned with a wet cloth.
1.6. ATTENTION
IMPORTANT: NEVER USE A HIGH PRESSURE JET-PIPE TO CLEAN THE APPARATUS ON THE OUTSIDE. THIS MAY
CAUSE DAMAGE TO ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS AND WIRINGS. DO NOT IMMERSE THE APPARATUS IN WATER.
1.7. GUARANTEE
The following manufacturing guarantee is foreseen:
- 1 year on the construction, man-hours and spare parts.
For repair, the apparatus should be taken to one of the hereafter-mentioned service centers.
