3.6 Application

3.6.1 General description

The Stand-up Aid Pegasus aids mobilisation from the floor to a seated position. Depending on the clinical
picture, this can be performed alone or with assistance. The seat of the Stand-up Aid Pegasus has a minimum
receiving height of 80 mm.
The Stand-up Aid Pegasus may be used exclusively as a Stand-up Aid in accordance with the intended use. Any use
other than the intended use is prohibited. Training in use of the Stand-up Aid Pegasus may only be provided by
authorised, qualified personnel.
3.6.2 Setup
Set the base up.
Place the included hand crank in the crank receiver on the backrest.
The Stand-up Aid Pegasus can be raised on all sides of the seat.
Insert the backrest into the backrest receiver.
Optional use without the backrest is possible.
3.6.3 Application with assistance
Set the Pegasus up within reach.
Fold the sliding plate down from the seat plate and onto the floor. to create an incline
Ready the Stand-up Aid Quick, slide and anti-slip mat.
Turn the patient onto their side.
Place the slide under the buttocks.
Turn the patient in a supine position.
Raise the legs.
Place the anti-slip mat under the patient's feet.
Place the Stand-up Aid Quick against the buttocks.
Place the handles of the Stand-up Aid Quick across one another on the patient's stomach.
Move the patient into a sitting position over the shoulder with a slight turning motion.
Secure the patient by the shoulder.
With the other hand, reach into the opening on the inclined surface of the Stand-up Aid Pegasus.
Pull the Stand-up Aid Pegasus under the patient's buttocks by the inclined surface.
Take hold of the Stand-up Aid Quick handles.
Support the user's knee on the seat of the Stand-up Aid Pegasus.
Pull the patient onto the seat by shifting you weight back.
Remove the slide from under the patient.
Insert the crank into the hex receiver.
Turn to the right Stand-up Aid Pegasus is raised.
Maximum number of turns: 57 (from the highest to the lowest position)
Move to the desired height.
Transfer to a wheelchair is performed in accordance with the clinical picture.
