1 General Information

Thank you for choosing a Petermann product.
Please read the user manual carefully before using the product for the first time!
The current understanding in modern occupational health and safety is that people in nursing professions
experience significant work-related physical strain. Back injuries are common. The strain on the user and the patient
/ care-dependent can be reduced significantly through the use of transfer and Stand-up Aids.
The use of the Stand-up Aid Pegasus should be conditional upon the user having learned to use the equipment
properly. The user has to decide for themselves what equipment is suitable to the patient's situation and the
intended sequence of movements.
The Stand-up Aid Pegasus is used to assist a patient with getting up after a fall. This product is used in particular in
home care and other health care facilities as well as hospitals.
The product may only be used for the specified purpose and under the specified conditions.
The information in this user manual is for the patient who is being transferred and moved, as well as the user
performing the transfer / position change.
