panel under the steering must (Fig. 3). For this purpose bore
an opening of 20mm. Take into consideration that the surface
for the sensor installation has to be flat for better fixing.
6. Connect the cable kit according to the car specific circuits.
Further information about the electrical device of the wiper
systems you can find in the car repair manual. Connect the
control relay(AWS relay) j to the relay socket l. Put the
cable of the rain sensor k to the appropriate socket of the
control relay (AWS relay) j

Function test: Turn on the ignition and set the additional
switch into position "ON", but don't turn on the wiper, and
splash water on the windscreen in the sensor area. The wiper
should start immediately. See also description of function.
Function:
After having turned on the ignition and set the additional switch to position "ON" the rain sensor green light
of control indicator is on. The sensor system is ready for work. Depending on rain intensity the rain sensor
system controls the windscreen wiper automatically both in the "one-time-wiping" and "durable-wiping"
mode, Mode 1. After installation of the rain sensor system the wiper retains all its functions. When starting
the car with wet windscreen it can occur that there are left some water drops on the screen. The sensor
recognizes water drops only if they start moving. In this case the moisture is to be removed manually.
Caution!
In the car wash or before ice wiping you should turn off the rain sensor system to avoid hurts and car
damages. You should avoid setting the additional switch of rain sensor to position "ON" and turning on the
wiper switch on the steering mast in the interval wiping mode at the same time as these functions are
similar. As before you can use the washer/wiper function of the windscreen wiper system, as well as
Modes 1 and 2.
Instruction at screen breaking damages:
The sensor can be easily removed by drawing the sensor body to the side. Using a new adhesive pad
which you can order from your local Suzuki dealer by number: 990E0-65J81-001, the sensor can be
pasted on the new windscreen according to the instruction.
Caution!
At improper or no-purpose use, wrong service or unqualified installation or repair the guarantee is not
valid. In this case the company does not respond for any damages or indirect losses!
