3-5. Version Numbers of a Controller

Be sure to use the following combination of the controller version numbers when using the magnescale
that supports the SIEMENS DRIVE-CLiQ.
SINUMERIK soft ware version : 4.4SP2 or later
SINAMICS fi rmware version
Th e functions of the controller may be restricted with any combinations other than the above.
As for details of the versions and functions of the controller, contact SIEMENS.
For models that support the online diagnosis function
Th e product basic functions will operate normally with the soft ware above.
However, when using the online diagnosis function, the following soft ware version is required.
SINUMERIK soft ware version: 4.5 or later
Our dedicated online diagnosis soft ware (supplied separately) is required.

4. Output Signal

4-1. Signal Specifi cation

Th is product performs data communication with the controller using the SIEMENS DRIVE-CLiQ
protocol.
Moving the scale head in the direction of the arrow gives an addition. (polarity +)

4-2. Controller Connection Specifi cations

Communication circuit side
When connecting to a controller, be sure to follow the connection procedure of the controller manufacturer.
