Design and function
Only use one single power voltage source to connect to terminals 1 & 2 (OPEN/CLOSE).
Do not supply power voltage from different sources to one actuator!
Ex factory, the position feedback is wired as a closed contact (C). On site, this might
also be implemented as an open contact (O), subsequently.
Standard delivery is with a unit plug for position feedback OPEN/CLOSE Connection
via cable gland is also possible.
Connecting the actuator with an open-ended wire through the cables glands provided
Connect the protective earth (PE) provided on the main board. Use a suitable isolated
ring terminal lug, accepting 0.5 – 1.5mm
Ensure a min. bolt torque of 1.5 – 2Nm!
Ensure that the minimum length of
the earth wire (PE) is 2.5cm (1")
longer than voltage wires.
This will ensure that the PE
conductor is the last wire to take the
strain in case the cable gland fails.
Only use the cable glands provided EXW. After cables had been, inserted check that the
gland is sufficiently closed (wrench size 24mm) and that the gasket clasps the
connection cable completely to ensure water protection & strain relief.
