New spot selection:
Program start:
Bosch Rexroth AG | Electric Drives and Controls
The input „ End Of Component" is used for the Q-Stop functionality. The Input
indicates, that all spots on a Component have been done.

Function Initial dressing

The function Initial dressing can be activated via timer parameter.
When this function is activated for a specific electrode a „ Tip Dress Request" will
come immediately after the „ Tip replaced" input signal.
7.1.2

%I Prewarning

Phase value monitoring is carried out after each welding schedule. The mean
phase value is compared to electrode parameters.
- % limitation
- %I prewarning
- lower %I prewarning.
If one of the limits is exceeded, a warning is output. This warning will remain
active until the next tip dressing / tip change cycle or until the actual %I values are
reset at the user interface.
7.1.3

Retransmitting inputs to outputs

The following inputs are retransmitted to outputs:
• Discrete inputs E01..08  Fieldbus outputs Bit 41..47
• Fieldbus inputs word 2.08 to 2.12  Discrete outputs XGD3 A00..A04

Schedule

Program start is subdivided into two parts: New spot selection and Program start.
Both parts use a handshake.
The robot initially selects a new spot number at the corresponding timer inputs.
Afterwards, it sets the "Valid spot selection" input.
The spot selection has 32 Bits.
This input requests the timer to read out the new spot number, to prepare the
corresponding welding program and to set the program-dependent and electrode
dependent timer outputs accordingly. If the timer found the spot in the internal
spot table the timer will set the output "Spot selection data valid".
If no valid spot number has been specified, the base pressure of program 0 will
be output.
Spot numbers lower than 256 will be interpreted as program numbers by the
timer.
Once the robot has detected the "Spot selection data valid" output, it can evaluate
the corresponding outputs of the weld timer. Furthermore, it must reset the "Valid
spot selection" input. As a response, the timer will reset the output "Spot selection
taken over".
The actual program start is initiated by the input "Start" of the robot. At the end of
the schedule, the timer will either set the "Weld complete" output, if the schedule
was o.k., or the "Welding fault" output will be set if the schedule was not o.k., or
the "Timer ready" output will be reset if a general fault was present.
When the robot resets the "Start" input, the timer will reset the "Weld complete"
output. The fault has to be corrected and reset in the event of an incorrect
schedule.
