3.5 Menu „Switch"
The menu „Switch" allows the user to perform settings of the LAN-ports, such as Auto Nego-
tiation and Flow Control for the downstream devices.

By default the LCT-port has been set to Auto Negotiation, while the data port LAN2 is set to
100M Full-Duplex – both ports need not to be changed. If problems occur during communica-
tion with the remote site (CPE), the bit rate can be set as fixed value to half- or full duplex
and 10 Mbps resp. 100 Mbps. By putting a tick in the checkbox „Flow Control" the latter can
be enabled or disabled for the respective LAN-Port (default setting is: ON).
The submenu „Statistics" provides an option in case of need (e.g. for fault analysis) to track
the number of transmitted (Tx) and received (Rx) packets / bytes (e.g. fault-free, erroneous,
oversized, undersized, etc.) or, resp., type and size of the packets on the LAN- and WAN-
ports. Upon clicking on „All reset" the counter will be zeroed, whereas the command „Up-
date" sets the counters on the Web-GUI to their current status.
