Operation

Before getting started

• Read the chapter "Safety" and particularly
the safety instructions (see page EN-5).
• Set up the appliance as described in the
chapter "Start-up" (see page EN-18).

With the help of the temperature control-
ler, (5) you can control the freezing capacity
of the appliance.
The temperature controller (5) is located on
the bottom left on the back of the appliance.
It is variably adjustable.

Tip: Insert a coin into the temperature control-
ler to adjust it.

Operation
Switching on
Please note that you cannot "switch on" the
appliance via the temperature controller.
When you plug the mains plug into the sock-
et, it switches on immediately.
1. Insert the mains plug into a properly in-
stalled socket (220–240 V~ /50 Hz).
The appliance is switched on, the mo-
tor starts to work, the refrigerant flows
through the pipes and you hear a slight
noise.
2. Set the temperature controller (5) to
'NORMAL'.
3. If the appliance makes worrying noises,
check its stability and remove any objects
on top of the appliance.
Switching off
Please note that you cannot "switch off" the
appliance via the temperature controller. Only
when you pull the mains plug out of the sock-
et does it switch off.
1. Disconnect the mains plug from the sock-
et.
2. Empty the appliance, defrost it and clean
it (see chapter "Care and maintenance"
on page EN-16).
3. Leave the door open slightly to avoid
mould formation.

Thermostat control

WARNING
Health hazard!
The appliance may not operate proper-
ly if exposed to low ambient tempera-
tures for extended periods of time. This
can then lead to an increase in temper-
ature inside the appliance.
Observe the specified ambient tem-
perature (see "Intended use" on page
EN-5).
