Dummy camera with motor
Item no. 75 41 56
Intended use
The product looks deceptively similar to a functional surveillance camera and therefore, it can be used for
deterrence in secluded or critical areas (e.g. driveways, entrance areas etc.).
The dummy camera may be installed and operated indoors and in protected outdoor areas.
The dummy camera's power is supplied by the wall plug transformer included in the delivery. However, the
wall plug transformer may only be connected and operated in dry interiors.
Always observe the safety instructions and all other information included in these operating instructions.

Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safety
instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequential damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper use
or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases, the warranty will be null
and void.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the product is not permitted for safety and
approval reasons (CE). Do not open/disassemble! Contains no customer-serviceable parts.
• The dummy camera may be operated indoors or in protected outdoor areas (e.g. under a
suffi ciently large roof overhang or porch, or under a carport or similar).
However, the wall plug transformer may only be used in dry, enclosed spaces, as there is
danger of a fatal electric shock.
• The design of the wall plug transformer complies with protection class II. Only use a standard
power socket as the voltage source (see section "Technical Data").
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. Be especially careful if
there are children around. Children cannot realise the danger arising from the incorrect use of
electrical devices.
Install and use the product where it is out of the reach of children.
• Do not operate the device in environments where there are high levels of dust, fl ammable
gases, vapours or solvents. There is a danger of fi re and explosion!
• Do not connect the wall plug transformer to the mains voltage immediately after taking it from
a cold room into a warm one. The condensation that develops in such cases could damage
the device or cause an electric shock! Allow the wall plug transformer to reach room tempera-
ture. Wait until the condensation has evaporated. This might take several hours. Only then can
the wall plug transformer be connected and put into operation.
• Never touch the wall plug transformer when your hands are damp or wet. Danger of a life-
threatening electric shock!
• Do not pull the wall plug transformer from the mains socket by pulling on the cable.
• If the wall plug transformer is damaged, do not touch it; there is danger to life from electric
shock!
First, switch off the mains voltage to the socket to which the wall plug transformer is connected
(switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or, for example, or remove the safety fuse) and
then switch off at the corresponding RCD switch, so the socket is fully disconnected from the
mains voltage.
You can then unplug the wall plug transformer from the mains socket. Dispose of the
faulty wall plug transformer in an environmentally friendly way, do not use it any more.
Replace it with a new wall plug transformer with the same specifi cations.
• Do not carelessly leave the packaging material lying around since this may become a danger-
ous toy for children.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental drops, even
from a low height.

Version 11/11
• First, choose a suitable mounting location for the dummy camera. The dummy camera may be operated
indoors or in protected outdoor areas (e.g. under a suffi ciently large roof overhang or porch, or under a
carport or similar).
The wall plug transformer is to be used in dry indoor locations only.
• Mark the mounting position on the wall through the mounting holes of the dummy camera.
• Also, if necessary, drill a hole in the wall large enough to thread the connection cable through.
• If you want to pass the cable through a wall, protect the plug from dust and dirt e.g. using a small plastic
bag.
• Screw the dummy camera tightly to the wall. Depending on the wall, use screws and plugs that are suitable
for the surface.
• Adjust the inclination of the dummy camera as desired, so that it points at the area to be monitored. Do
not exert any force when adjusting.
• If the camera is delivered with the camera head fi xed via an adhesive tape or the like, remove this tape
now.
Connection and operation
• First check whether or not the camera head is fastened (e.g. with an adhesive tape); if the head is fas-
tened, remove the transport protection.
• Only after that may the wall plug transformer be connected to the dummy camera and the wall plug trans-
former plugged into a mains socket.
• The motor drive starts immediately. The integrated controller fi rst turns 90° to the left and then 90° to the
right. Following that, it performs several 45°-turns to the left and right.
Afterwards, the camera remains in the middle position for approx. 2 minutes.
Then the panning process starts again.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Maintenance or repairs may only be performed by qualifi ed personnel or a specialist repair shop. The product
contains no parts that require servicing. Therefore, do not open/dismantle it.
Use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not apply too much pressure on the housing, this could result
in scratch marks.
