When the electric drive was switched ON at the battery the motor assist level
2 is automatically preselected. With the buttons " – " und " + " the motor
assist levels could be changed to level 0 (no motor assist) and from level 1
to level 6.

assist level 2 = PAS 2 / ECO
assist level 3 = PAS 3 / CITY
assist level 4 = PAS 4 / TOUR
assist level 5 = PAS 5 / POWER
assist level 6 = PAS 6 / BOOST
Depends on the selected motor assist level you will get different motor
speed (cruise control function). When you press the button " - " the motor
will give a speed of max. 6km/h without pedaling (pushing aid function) as
long as you press this button. When you press the button " + " longer the
backlight will be switched ON or OFF. Each short press of the button " M "
toggles between the speedometer functions SPEED, AVG SPEED, SPEED MAX,
ODO, TRIP and TRIP TIME. When the electric drive was switched ON SPEED is

That the correct speed will be displayed and the total kilometers will be cal-
culated correctly it is necessary to adjust to the correct wheel size before
first using.
When you pressing at one and the same time the buttons " + " and " – "
together for a longer time you will turn into the setting mode (the electric
drive should be switched ON before). At first you could change the backlight
intensity with the buttons " + " and " – " (bl – 1, bl – 2 or bl – 3). With a short
pressing of button " M " you turn to the settings of the wheel size (wheel size
setting in millimeter). The flashing digit could be changed by the buttons
" + " und " – ". By short pressing the button " M " you will turn to the next
digit. The wheel size should be adjust in accordance with the used wheel
size (unrolling one turn of the wheel and measure this distance with a tape
measure). When you press the button " M " for a longer time you will leave the
setting mode. When you are leaving the setting mode all the changed data
will be stored automatically.

14. BICYCLE LIGHTING (OPTIONAL)

As already described under 12. WIRING, the electric drive is already prepared
for the connection of an ANSMANN light module. This ANSMANN light module
has the correct connector to connect it to the control unit. At the light mo-
dule it will be possible to connect the headlights and the rear light directly.
The connection L3 is activated as long as the battery is switched
ON. Maybe you need to switch ON / OFF the light separately.
