These installation instructions are valid for SLK-Class
vehicles, R 171.
Components
Seat covers for driver's seat (B6 798 2523)*:
•
(1) Seat cushion

(3) Driver's seat backrest
•
(4) Hooks (3 in total)
Seat covers for front-passenger seat (B6 798 2524)*:
•
(1) Seat cushion
•
(2) Front-passenger seat backrest
•
(4) Hooks (3 in total)
Cover for head restraint (B6 798 2525)*:
•
(5) Head restraint**
*Included in the scope of delivery: Either the seat covers for
the driver's seat or the seat covers for the front-passenger
seat, or the cover for one head restraint. Any other required
covers, for seats or head restraints, can be ordered at a
Mercedes-Benz Service Centre.
**The head restraint cover can only be used in vehicles which
are not equipped with the AIRSCARF optional extra
(code 403).
Notes
Please contact a qualified specialist workshop if you
encounter difficulties when fitting the seat covers.
Mercedes-Benz recommends that you use a
Mercedes-Benz Service Centre for this purpose.
The manufacturer reserves the right to change

contained in these installation instructions.
These installation instructions also refer to the vehicle
Owner's Manual. Please keep it handy for reference.
Cleaning
Important
Do not spin-dry or tumble-dry the seat covers.
The seat covers can be washed at temperatures up to
86 °F (30 °C), using commercially available detergents
for delicates.
Fitting
The installation instructions show the covers being
fitted to the driver's seat. The same procedure applies
when fitting the covers to the front-passenger seat.
1. Move the driver's seat as far to the front as possible,
place the seat backrest in a vertical position and slide
the head restraint upwards as far as it will go. Please
refer to the vehicle Owner's Manual.
