• General Information
Decrease the temperature by setting the frost protection when ventilating
a room with an open window. It is possible to access the open window de-
tection from Comfort, Eco and Auto modes. There are two ways to enable
the detector:
• Automatic activation, the temperature drop starts as soon as the fan
detects a temperature change.
• Manual activation, the temperature drop starts when a button is pres-
sed.
• Automatic activation (factory settings)
The device detects a temperature drop. An open window or door to the
outside can cause a temperature drop.
Note: The diff erence between the inside and the outside causes a con-
siderable temperature drop that can be detected by the device. The de-
tection of this change activates the switching to Frost Protection mode.
• Manual activation
Press
for more than 5 seconds to switch the device to Frost Pro-
tection mode.
• Frost protection digital counter
When the device performs a lower temperature cycle due to an open
window, a counter is displayed on the screen showing the cycle duration.
The counter automatically resets to zero the next time the Frost Pro-
tection mode is enabled due to an open window (automatic or manual
activation).
• Stopping Frost Protection mode
Press a button to stop the Frost Protection mode.
Note: If a temperature increase is detected, the device can switch to the
previous mode (enabled before detecting the open window).

10.12 Presence detection, energy saving

• Important information about presence detection
The presence detector is sensitive to changes in temperature and light. It
is likely to be disturbed by the following elements:
• Sources of heat or cold such as air vents, lights, air conditioners.
• Refl ective surfaces, such as mirrors.
• Animals passing through the detection area.
• Objects that move with the wind, such as curtains and plants. Disable
the presence detector if the device has been installed near one of
these elements.
• To disable presence detection, see below.
Note: The detection range varies depending on the ambient tempera-
ture.
• General Information
The device adapts to your lifestyle while keeping energy consumption
under control.
With the front infrared sensor, the device optimizes the heating mana-
gement in a smart way: it detects the movement in the room where it is
installed and, in case of absence, automatically performs a progressive
lowering of the set temperature resulting in energy saving. To ensure
correct operation, do not obstruct the sensor fi eld of view with obstacles
(curtains, furniture, etc.).
Lowering the temperature during periods of absence
Periods of absence*
72 hours
*Factory settings cannot be changed
Note: When a presence in the room is detected, the device automatically
returns to the initial mode
Note: By default, when the sensor is enabled and detects a movement in
the room, the display lights up for a few seconds, then turns off .
• Divisions of the detection zone
Top view
Detection zone, for a temperature of 19°C. The detection zone is divided
into active (coloured bands) and inactive areas (white bands). A person
crossing the area is detected by the infrared sensor.

10.13 Optional: remote management via RF remote control

• General Information
The device can be operated with a wireless RF remote control. This in-
struction manual only describes the radio frequency tuning procedures
to be performed on the controller. For installation and use of the remote
control, refer to its instruction manual.
