CAUTION
Faulty welding
The Geberit electrofusion machine ESG 3 is equipped with
an automatic mechanism which prevents a double weld
when a sleeve connection cable is connected.

Connect the electrofusion machine to the supply voltage.
The <Mains connection> LED display
(see figure A, rear cover page).

Connect the sleeve connection cable to the electrofusion
coupling, electrofusion tape for anchor point or
electrofusion coupling with integrated thermal fuse. The
<Ready for welding> LED display
(see figure B, rear cover page).

Press the start button. The <Welding procedure> LED
display
The welding time is adjusted automatically in accordance
with the ambient temperature.

The pipe to be welded must be kept in a tension-free
position during the welding procedure and the cooling-
down phase
Air draughts through the pipe interior must be avoided
lights up and the <Ready for welding> LED display
goes out (see figure C, rear cover page).
