10. Conformity declaration

12. Guarantee and warranty

The HEATSCOPE® ZERO is guaranteed for 24 months. The warranty period begins on the date on
which the new unit is purchased. Consumables or defects that affect the usability of the unit only
slightly are excluded from the warranty. The warranty has to be proven by the original invoice on
which the date of purchase and the unit model are indicated.
Processing warranty claims
Please send the defective unit to the manufacturer with the valid proof of purchase and a detailed
description of the error. Please understand that complaints can only be dealt with quickly if accom-
panied by a detailed error description. A form to simplify the description of the error is available
from the manufacturer. The unit will only be accepted by the manufacturer if returned with ade-
quate transport packaging, which protects the unit accordingly during transport.
The manufacturer will at own discretion fulfill its warranty obligations by either repairing or
exchanging the faulty unit or individual parts of the faulty unit. In case of a replacement unit, the
shape and color may vary slightly from the original purchased unit. The start of the warranty period
is determined by the original date of purchase and is not extended if the unit has been repaired or
replaced by the manufacturer.
Warranty exclusions
Damage or defects caused by improper handling or operation as well as damage caused by using
non-original parts or the use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer are not co-
vered by warranty.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by external influences such as fire, lightning, water or
any transportation damages.
Liability for consequential damages to persons or property is excluded.
If the serial number of the device has been changed, removed or defaced, the warranty may not be
claimed.
All warranty claims will be invalid if the device is opened, altered, modified, rebuilt or repaired by a
person not authorized by the manufacturer.
