12. Handling

• Never plug the power adapter into a mains socket immediately after the device has been taken from a cold to
a warm environment. The condensation generated may destroy the product. Allow the device to reach room
temperature before connecting it. Wait until the condensation has evaporated.
• Never unplug the power adapter from the mains socket by pulling on the cable; always use the grips on the plug.
• Remove the power adapter from the mains socket if the device is not in use for a longer period of time.
• For safety reasons, always disconnect the power adapter from the mains socket during storms.
• Never cover the device and the power adapter in order to ensure adequate ventilation. In addition, air circulation
must not be impaired by objects such as magazines, table clothes and curtains.
• Do not listen to music at an excessive volume for prolonged periods. This may damage your hearing. This is
especially the case when using headphones.

13. Cleaning and maintenance

Before cleaning or maintaining the Internet radio, be sure to observe the following safety information:
Live components may be exposed when the housing is opened or components are removed. The device
must be disconnected from all power supplies before carrying out any servicing or repair work.
Capacitors inside the device may still carry a voltage when they have been disconnected from the power
supply.
Repair work must only be done by qualified technicians who are familiar with the potential hazards and the
relevant regulations.
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may damage the
housing or stop the product from functioning properly.
• Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
