8. Setting up

When selecting the setup location, take the room layout into consideration (e.g. location of the nearest socket).
Avoid proximity to direct sunlight, vibrations, dust, hot and cold temperatures and damp. The device must not be
placed next to powerful transformers or motors.
Do not drill extra holes or screw any extra screws for mounting purposes into the housing. This will damage
the device.
Ensure that the device is placed on a stable surface to prevent it from falling off and causing injury.
Given the variety of paints and varnishes used to coat furniture, it cannot be ruled out that the device feet
could leave visible traces on furniture due to a chemical reaction. Do not place the device on top of valuable
furniture without appropriate protection.
Place the device on a flat, level surface that can withstand its load.

9. Getting started

a) Connecting accessories

Connecting external devices

• If necessary, you can connect an amplifier or active speakers using the Line Out connection (10). Connect the audio
input of the external device using the Line Out connection (10).
• If the plug of the external device does not fit, you can use a suitable adapter.
If an external device is connected, use the volume control of this device to adjust its volume. The playback
volume can also be adjusted through the built-in speaker of the Internet radio using the Internet radio's
volume control.

Connecting headphones

• If necessary, you can connect headphones using the headphone jack (11).
• The speaker is automatically disabled and music is played back only through the connected headphones.
