• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product, or if you have concerns
about safety.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs may only be carried out by a technician or a specialist repair
centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our technical
support service or other technical personnel.
• Always read these operating instructions before using, installing, configuring or servicing this product.
b) Electrical safety
• The power adapter is built according to protection class II. Only a proper mains socket
(100–240 V/AC 50/60 Hz) of the public supply grid may be used as a voltage source.
• Use only the supplied power adapter to power the Internet radio and to charge the built-in battery.
• The mains socket must be close to the device and easily accessible.
• Never touch the power adapter with wet or damp hands. There is a danger of life-threatening electric
shock!
• Make sure the USB charging cable of the power adapter is not squashed, kinked, damaged by sharp
edges or otherwise mechanically stressed. Avoid excess thermal stress on the power adapter caused
by excessive heat or cold. Do not modify the power adapter. Failure to adhere to these instructions may
lead to damage of the power adapter. A damaged power adapter can result in a life-threatening electric
shock.
• If the power adapter is damaged, do not touch it. First switch off all poles of the associated mains socket
(e.g. using the associated circuit breaker and FI switch) and then carefully pull the power adapter out of
the mains socket. Never operate the product with a damaged power adapter.
• Never replace damaged connecting cables of the power adapter. If the connecting cable is damaged, the
power adapter is unusable and must be disposed of. Repairs are not permitted.
• Do not place any containers with liquids, e.g. glasses, buckets, vases or plants on or in the immediate
vicinity of the device or power adapter. Liquids may seep into the housing and impair the electrical safety
of the device. There is also the risk of a fire or a fatal electric shock. In such a case, switch off all poles
of the associated mains socket (e.g. switch off the circuit breaker and FI switch) and then carefully pull
the power adapter out of the mains socket. Do not operate the product anymore afterwards, but take it
to a specialist workshop.
• Do not place naked flames, such as burning candles, on or in the vicinity of the device.
• Only use the product in temperate climates. It is not suitable for use in tropical climates.
