• The machine may only be used with original scheppach
accessories and original tools of the manufacturer.
• Any other use is considered to be not intended. The
manufacturer excludes any liability for resulting
damages, the risk is exclusively borne by the user.
• Rocking frame circular saw: The saw has been exclusively
designed for the trimming of firewood with a maximum
length of 1 m.
• Rocking table circular saw/sliding table circular saw: The
saw has been exclusively designed for the ripping and
trimming of firewood and for the sawing of firewood.
• Insert the rip fence for ripping cuts and mount the
appropriate saw blade cover. Use the sliding stick.

Residual Risks

The machine has been constructed according to the state
of the art and the recognized safety rules. Nevertheless,
single residual risks may occur during the operation.
• The rotating saw blade may cause injuries of fingers
and hands in case of an improper guidance of the work
piece.
• Health hazard by means of wood dusts and saw dust.
• Always wear the personal protection equipment as well
as an eye protection and a dust mask.
• Health hazard due to excessive noise. During the work,
the admissible noise level is exceeded. Always wear the
personal protective equipment (ear protection).
• Danger caused by electric current if inappropriate
electrical connecting lines are used.
• Furthermore, non obvious residual risks may exist in
spite of all measures taken.
• Residual risks can be minimized by carefully observing
the "Safety Instructions" and the "Intended Use"
sections as well as the entire operating instructions.

Assembly

Upon delivery, the machine is completely assembled and
is, thus, ready to work immediately.
KE d700: Remove the handle from the rocking joint and
insert it on the left side wall of the frame.

Installation and Adjustment

Please make sure that your rocking frame circular saw is
installed in an upright and stable manner on a firm ground.
The borings on the foot brackets allow the machine to be
properly fastened on the floor.

Tractor Attachment

Fig. 01
• For the cutting of firewood you have to attach the circular
saw in longitudinal direction to the 3-point-hydraulics of
the tractor.
• If you want to perform ripping cuts, uncouple the
circular saw from the 3-point-hydraulics and operate it
at an angle of 90¡ across the tractor.
• The free spline stub must be covered with the protective
cover.
• Use the chain to protect the propeller shaft during the
operation from racing.
• Hang up the propeller shaft in the holding clip after the
disconnection of the tractor.
• If you leave the workplace, turn off the tractor and
remove the ignition key.

Transport of the Machine

Rocking frame circular saw/
rocking table circular saw KW and KWZ
Fig. 02
• Lock the rocker catch during the transport of the rocking
frame circular saw.
• Fold down and lock the table during the transport of the
rocking table circular saw.
• KW 7: Remove the transport handle (1) and distort it (2)
for a safe transport (retention by means of a screw head
in the transport handle).
Sliding table circular saws KE and KEZ
• KE 70m and KEZ 700: To transport the sliding table
circular saw, lock the table locking device and put the
sawing table into a horizontal position.
• KE d 700: The machine can only be transported at right
angles to the saw blade. Remove the transport handle
(1) and distort it (2) for a safe transport (retention by
means of a screw head in the transport handle).
Tractor Attachment
• During a transport of the circular saw, the power take-off
operation must be turned off.
• The warning sign with rear light according to
DIN 110030 must be mounted on the saw, and the
rear light must be connected to the tractor (see also Fig.
02).

Electrical Connection

• Connect the machine to the mains supply using the CEE
plug. The supply line must be protected with 16 A.
• Switch on the saw with the operating switch. The saw
shaft starts working.
• If the saw is turned off, the saw shaft comes to a
standstill within 10 s.
Changing the Direction of Rotation
Fig. 03
The installed electric motor is connected and is ready
to work. The connection complies with the relevant VDE
and DIN regulations. The connection to the mains supply
on the customer side and the used extension line must
meet these regulations or the provisions of the local power
supply company.
Motor Braking Device
If the machine is switched off, an automatically operated
mechanical brake (exception: KE d 700 that is equipped
with a braking plate) ensures the safe braking. The brake
reduces the speed of the driving motor of the saw shaft
within 10 s.
If the braking operation takes more than 10 s, the machine
must not be used anymore as the brake is defect. The
machine must be disconnected from the power supply
in any case. The troubleshooting may exclusively be
performed by an electrician.
Operating Mode/Operating Time
The electric motor has been dimensioned for the S6Ð40%
operating mode. This abbreviation means:
S6:
Continuous operation duty type
40%:
(referred to 10 min.) 4 min. load;
6 min. idle operation.
