You can lock the hob using the child lock. This prevents it being
switched on unintentionally or the settings being changed.
Switching on the child lock
• Make sure that the hob is switched off.
• Press and hold the child lock button for at least two seconds.
You will hear a single beep. A dot appears in the display for each
burner in place of the selected heating level. The child lock is now
activated.
▷ If you want to unlock a burner, then this is not possible when the
child lock is activated. First you have to deactivate the child lock.
Switching off the child lock
• Press and hold the child lock button for at least two seconds.
You will hear a single beep. The dot replacing the selected heating
level disappears in the display for each burner. The child lock is now
switched off.
Tip
Switch the hob to child lock mode before cleaning it to prevent it from
accidentally switching on.
It is possible to see the current time in the hob's display. First you need
to set the time when starting to use the hob for the first time. You also
need to reset the time after a power cut.
Setting the clock (GKT875RVSA/GKT895RVSA/GKT814RVSA)
• Make sure that the hob is switched on.
• Press the timer button, the - button for the timer and the + button
for the timer together for a minimum of 3 seconds .
The '0' in front of the dot flashes. You can now set the number of
hours.
• Press the + or the - button on the timer to set the hours.
• Then press the timer button again.
