Igniting and adjusting

A cooking zone indicator above the touch controls indicates which
burner is being controlled. The power can be set to 7 heating levels.
Switching on
Touch and hold the On/Off button for 2 seconds to switch on the hob.
The hob switches on and a '0' is displayed above each burner touch
control to indicate that the burners are off.
Lighting the burners with spark ignition
• Briefly touch the + button of the burner that you want to ignite.
'0' flashes for 3 seconds.
• Then press the + button again within three seconds to set it to
heating level 7.
The burner ignites and the heating level is displayed above the
touch control. The display above the timer button shows which
burners are ignited and linked to a timer.
The appliance will make three attempts to ignite the burner at intervals
of 10 seconds. Should the burner fail to light, then it locks and a 'b' is
displayed above the touch control. To use the burner again, you need to
unlock the burner.
Setting a burner heating level
When a burner has ignited, you can set the heating level using the
corresponding + or - touch control. You can press the button several
times or you can press and hold the button until the correct heating
level appears above the touch control.
Adjusting the burner (GKT831RVSA)
Once the inner and outer gas rings have been lit, you can adjust the
power level using the buttons 4 and 5 plus 11 and 12.
The displays of the inner and outer gas rings will light up.
If just the inner gas ring has been lit, you can only use the buttons 11
and 12 to make adjustments.
