Induction cooking is fast
At first you will be surprised by the speed of the hob. At
higher settings especially, food and liquids are brought to the
boil very rapidly. It is best not to leave pans unattended to
avoid them boiling over or dry.
The power level adjusts automatically
Induction cooking only uses the part of the zone that is di-
rectly underneath the pan. If you use a small pan on a large
zone, the power will adjust automatically to the diameter of
the pan. This means that there will be less power so that it
will take longer for the contents of the pan to come to the
boil.
Minimum pan diameter
The diameter of a pan must be 12 cm at least. The best re-
sults are achieved when using a pan with the same diameter
as the cooking zone. If a pan is too small, the cooking zone
will not switch on.
Attention
- Grains of sand may cause permanent scratches on the glass
plate. Therefore always make sure that the base of pan is
clean before you put it on the cooking zone. Also lift a
pan before moving it.
- Do not use the hob as a worktop.
- Always keep a lid on the pan to avoid loss of energy.
