To activate EPO
function, remove
these two
screws.
Step 5: Turn on the UPS
Press the ON/Mute button on the front panel for two seconds to power on the UPS.
Note: The battery will charge fully during the first five hours of normal operation. Full
battery load capability during this initial charging period.
Step 6: Installation of monitoring software
For optimal computer system protection, install ViewPower UPS monitoring software to
configure UPS features including shutdown. You can use supplied RS-232, or USB
communication cable to connect to the corresponding ports of UPS and the host PC. Then,
follow below steps to install monitoring software.
You can also control these functions over remotely of a network through connection to the
SNMP network interface preinstalled in the UPS. Please see the SNMP Quick Start Guide
included with the UPS' documentation.
1. Download the appropriate ViewPower Software or other utilities to your computer and
follow the on-screen instructions to initiate installation.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts during the installation process.
3. When your computer restarts, the monitoring software will appear as an orange plug icon
located in the system tray.
It's in closed status for UPS
normal operation as default.
