2-4. Setting up the UPS

1. UPS should be mounted in a rack or on a flat, clean surface area away from vibration, dust,
humidity, high temperatures, liquids, gases, or corrosive and conductive contaminants.
Avoid high-traffic areas, near windows and doors. Maintain a minimum clearance of
100mm from the bottom of the UPS to avoid dust and high temperature.
2. Maintain an ambient temperature range of 0ºC to 45ºC for optimal operation. Every 5ºC
above 45ºC, will reduce 12% of the UPS' nominal capacity at full load. The highest
acceptable working temperature for UPS operation is 50ºC.
3. An altitude of 1000m is the maximum allowable in order to keep the UPS at normal
operation under full load. Use at high altitudes requires a reduced power load. Altitude
de-rating power with connected loads for UPS normal operation is listed as below:
4. The UPS is equipped with an internal fan for cooling. For proper heat dissipation and
accessibility, place the UPS in a well-ventilated area with a minimum clearance of 100mm
to the front of the UPS and 300mm to the back and sides.
