Setting the grind level

The mill mechanism is set at the fac-
tory to a medium grind level. If coffee
is dispensed too quickly or too slowly
(in drips), you can change the grind
level during the milling process.
1
The grind level can only be changed
during the milling process. Changing
the settings when the mill mecha-
nism is at rest can damage the coffee
machine.
0 Adjust the grind level with the knob
for setting the grind level (Figure 2, T)
(Figure 12).
• If the coffee only comes out in drips
or not at all, the knob must be
turned by one position clockwise.
Turn one position at a time until
coffee is dispensed satisfactorily.
• If the coffee comes out too fast and
the crema does not meet your taste,
turn the knob by one position anti-
clockwise.
3
Make sure that you do not turn the
knob for setting the grind level too far,
as otherwise coffee may come out in
drips when dispensing 2 cups.

You will only notice the effect of these
3
corrections after at least 2 more cof-
fees have been made, however.
Removing foreign bodies in the mill
mechanism.
Foreign bodies in the mill mechanism,
such as small stones, can damage the
mechanism. A foreign body in the cof-
fee causes an even rattling noise. If you
hear this noise during the milling pro-
cess, switch the appliance off immedi-
ately and consult customer services.
Blocking or damage caused by for-
eign objects in the grinder might be
excluded from the guarantee.
