Thank you for buying this router.
Your new router is easy to use and highly versatile –
an indispensable tool for all DIY enthusiasts.
This tool complies with the requirements of the
Equipment Safety Law and the relevant standards.
When using electrical equipment, a few safety pre-
cautions must be observed to avoid injuries and
damage. Please read the complete operating manual
with due care. Retain this manual in a safe place, so
that the information is available at all times. If you
give the equipment to any other person, hand over
this operating manual as well.
We accept no liability for damage or accidents which
arise due to non-observance of these instructions.
We hope that you enjoy using your router.
1. SCOPE OF USE
This router enables you to cut grooves, edges, profi-
les and oval holes in wood, lightweight materials and
plastic placed on a solid base. The tool is supplied
with a disk for copy routing.

2. GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION! Read the instructions in full. Any errors
made in following the instructions set out below may
result in an electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
The term "electric tool" used below refers to electric
tools operated from the mains power supply (with a
power cable).
Keep these regulations in a safe place!
2.1 WORK AREA
Keep your work area clean and tidy.
Untidy and unlit work areas can result in acci-
dents.
Do not use this tool in an area where there is
a risk of explosion and where there are
inflammable liquids, gases or dust.
Electric tools generate sparks that can ignite dust
or vapors.
Keep children and other people away from
the electric tool whilst you are using it.
If you are distracted you may lose control of the
tool.
2.2 ELECTRICAL SAFETY
The plug on the tool must fit into the socket.
The socket must not be modified in any way.
Do not use adapters with tools that must be
earthed.
Unmodified plugs and matching sockets will

reduce the risk of an electric shock.
Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces
such as pipes, heating systems, stoves and
refrigerators.
There is an increase risk of suffering an electric
shock if your body is earthed.
Keep the tool out of the rain and away from
moisture.
The ingress of water into an electric tool increa-
ses the risk of an electric shock.
Do not use the cable for a purpose for which
it is not designed, for example to carry the
tool, hang it up or to pull the plug out of the
socket. Keep the cable away from heat, oil,
sharp edges or moving parts of the tool.
Cables that are damaged or caught in machinery
increase the risk of an electric shock.
If you use an electric tool outdoors, use only
extension cables that are approved for outdo-
ors use.
The use of an extension cable that is approved
for outdoors use reduces the risk of an electric
shock.
Connect the electric tool to the mains power
supply (230V~, 50Hz) via a socket-outlet with
earthing contact with maximum 16A protec-
tion. We recommend that you fit a residual-
current circuit-breaker (RCCB) with a maxi-
mum nominal tripping current of 30 mA. Seek
the advice of your electrician.
2.3 PERSONAL SAFETY
Be careful, watch what you are doing and use
an electric tool sensibly. Do not use the tool if
you are tired or under the influence of drugs,
alcohol or medication.
A moment of inattention when using the electric
tool can result in serious injuries.
Wear personal safety equipment and always
wear safety goggles.
Wearing personal safety equipment such as dust
masks, non-slip safety shoes, a helmet or ear
plugs, depending on the type and application of
the tool, reduces the risk of injury.
