Installation on stairs
Especially well suited for installation at the top of stairs as it opens completely and does not
present a tripping hazard. If installing at the top of the stairs, the stopper (o) must be installed
(Step 4).
(A) Install at the top of the upper the stair and do
not install on one of the stairs
(B) if the safety barrier is used at the bottom of the
stairs, it should be positioned in the front of the
lowest tread possible
ATTENTION: The gate must always open in the direction away from the hazard zone to avoid
Installation
Step 1
Screw the adjustment screw with the counter-nut (c) at the top and bottom approx. 20 mm into the
gate compartment (a), fig. 1 and fig. 2 (The final adjustment of the adjustment screw is executed later).
Step 2
Screw the hinge bolts (d) into the gate compartment (b) at the top and the bottom approx. 20
mm (fig. 3 and fig. 4 (The final adjustment of the hinge bolts is executed later).
Step 3
Place the gate compartments (a) and (b) flush next to each other so that there is no
gap between the gate compartments, fig. 5 and fig. 6.
Push these apart so that the distance between the last gate slat and the wall or door surface is at
least 30 mm and maximum 62 mm. Fig. 8
Mount the mounting brackets (g) as depicted in fig. 9 and below in fig. 10 between two vertical
gate slats. Attention: The gate slats may never be run between the mounting bracket, fig. 7.
Screw the cover at the top (f) and at the bottom (e) to the mounting bracket (g). Tighten firmly
from the other side with the screw sleeves (k).
Step 4
Optionally, the stopper (o) can be inserted either on the left or on the right. Mount the stopper (o)
with the desired side of the hinge support (m) and (n). fig. 11 and fig. 12.

Step 5
Using the mounting template (q), mark the position for the hinge supports (m) and (n) the
necessary screw holes. These are marked with the name „LATCH"! fig. 14 and fig. 16 Screw the
hinge supports firmly with the wood mounting screws (l). fig. 15 and fig. 17
Use suitable screws and plugs for other mounting surfaces. 1)
