IR140RS-40..
Isolationsüberwachungsgerät
Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
®
Das A-ISOMETER
IR140RS-40.. überwacht den Isolationswider-
stand eines ungeerdeten Wechselspannungssystems (IT-System)
von AC 0 -300V. Die max. Netzableitkapazität beträgt 20 µF.
Sicherheitshinweise allgemein
wacht. Bei Unterbrechung einer dieser Leitungen blinken die
Alarm-LEDs.

Insulation Monitoring Device
D
Intended use
The IR140RS-40.. A-ISOMETER
of unearthed AC systems (isolated power) of AC 0 - 300 V. The
maximum system leakage capacitance is 20 µF.
General safety information
In addition to this data sheet, the documentation includes the
supplementary sheet „Important safety instructions for BENDER
products".
Device-specific safety information
Only one insulation monitoring device may be used in
each interconnected system.
When insulation and voltage tests are to be carried out,
the device shall be isolated from the system for the test
period.
Function
The 140RS-40.. A-ISOMETER
ing voltage which is superimposed on the system being moni-
tored via the terminals L1/L2 and KE/earth. The measuring circuit
is closed via ohmic insulation faults between system and earth.
If the value of the insulation resistance falls below the factory-set
response value (alarm point), the alarm LEDs light continuously
(see table 1) and the alarm relay switches.
If the fault indication is to be stored, the terminal LT1/LT2 has to
be bridged by an external reset NC contact (reset button).
By pressing the external test button (>2s), the function of the
measuring circuit, the alarm LEDs and the alarm relays can be
tested. As a result of that, an internal alarm will be simulated caus-
ing the alarm LEDs to light up and the alarm relay to switch. After
the completion of the measuring cycle, the LEDs extinguish and
the alarm relay switches back to the previous state. The alarm will
be stored and can be reset by pressing the external test button
(or the external reset button) (<1s) again.
The measuring connections
are continuously monitored. If one of these connections are open
or not connected, the alarm LEDs flash.
