General safety regulations

These safety regulations must be observed at all
cost in order to prevent accidents. The machine
may be damaged if you operate it incorrectly.
Never use the bench-type circular saw where
there are fumes or combustible liquids.
Use only sharp saw blades that are in perfect
working order. Replace cracked or bent blades
immediately.
Never use saw blades with plates that are thicker
or sets that are smaller than the thickness of the
splitter.
Always pull the plug out of the power socket
before converting or cleaning the machine,
Keep the power cable safe from damage. Oil and
acid can cause damage to the cable.
Never carry the machine by its power cable.
Never remove the plug from the socket by pulling
on the power cable.
Before inserting the plug in the socket, make sure
there are no tools, rubbish, etc. on the machine.
If you use a cable reel, the complete cable must
be drawn off the reel. The conductor should have
a minimum cross-section of 1 mm
Do not overload the machine.
Secure all workpieces properly.
Keep children away!
Make sure of your footing whenever you saw large
workpieces free-hand.

Wear goggles, ear muffs and a dust mask. Use a
hair-net on long hair.
If the power cable needs to be replaced, call an
electrician.
After switching off, never halt the blade by
applying side pressure.
Keep your hands away from the saw blade.
On ripping jobs (widths of less than 120 mm),
always use a push stick or similar aid.
With large and very large workpieces, always use
a support.
Always press the workpiece firmly against the
work top.
Do not push the workpiece too quickly into the
saw blade.
If the saw blade jams, switch off the motor (risk of
overheating).
Never load the machine so much that it cuts out.
Never cut workpieces that are too small to be held
safely in your hand.
Round mouldings and any other workpieces that
may twist because they lack a flat bearing surface
should never be cut without proper clamping.
Never remove wood components or jammed
splinters from near a running saw blade. Turn off
the machine first.
Do not use saw blades made of high-alloy, high-
speed steel (HSS).
Never use any saw blades that do not conform
with the specifications quoted in these operating
instructions.
Make sure that off-cuts are not hit by the saw
blade.
On plunge-cutting jobs, secure the workpiece
against backlash.
Refit the blade guard when you have finished
plunge-cutting.
Do not wedge the blade guard.
Always run the cable away from the back of the
machine.
Set up the machine where it stands securely.
Use only approved saw blades as listed in these
operating instructions.
All the moving parts of the saw guard must work
properly without wedging.
Never wedge the movable guard hood.
The kerf width of the saw blade must be bigger
than the width of the splitter.
The splitter must be used at all times except for
plunge-cuts.
Adjust the splitter so that:
2
.
