After you have unpacked the slit lamp, remove the transport locks
and keep them for any future transportation. The transport locks are
mainly marked by red color.
Caution
After unpacking remove the cable clip that fastens the cable of the
fixation lamp to the headrest.
•
Place the slit lamp onto the chosen instrument table and fasten it by
means of two M4 screws (2, Fig. 17) to be screwed through the
holes (1, Fig. 17). Afterwards cover the screws with the provided
plastic caps (3, Fig. 17).
•
If you use the slit lamp without base plate, the service staff must drill
the required holes with the drilling template. In this case the further
installation is also done through the service staff.
•
Check if binocular tube (5, Fig. 17) is firmly mounted Tighten up the
hexagon socket screw (6, Fig. 17), if necessary.
•
Make sure the eyepieces (4, Fig. 17) have been plugged into the
binocular tube (5, Fig. 17) as far as it will go.
•
Taking the cable length into consideration the power supply can be
placed anywhere, however it is best under the table top.
•
Afterwards, connect the cables of the slit lamp and fixation lamp to
the power supply and, finally, connect the power cable of the power
supply to a standard socket with earthing contact. The cables have
different plugs to preclude misconnection.
