6. Check the settings of the switches under the rubber
cover (Fig. 1).
Functions of the switches:
1. Stop function 1, normal/off
- should be in the "normal" position.
2. Stop function 2, normal/off
- should be in the "normal" position.
3. High or normal current limit
- this switch sets the stop sensitivity to 6% or 12%
below the normal operating current (6% = high
sensitivity, 12% = normal sensitivity).
4. Stop function inhibiting time of 15s or 50s
- running time after the pump has started during
which the stop functions must be inactive. The
inhibiting time is necessary so that varying starting
currents and possible closure of the flush valve will
not lead to stoppage.
One of the stop functions 1 or 2 must be in the normal
position, since the APF-Cleaner system will otherwise
not carry out any cleaning. Both of the stop functions
should preferably be in the normal position so that
stopping will be as reliable as possible.
N.B. If the pump is equipped with a flush valve, the
inhibiting time must be preset to 50s.
7. Reading-in the current value
After a certain number of pump cycles, the APF-Cleaner
system learns automatically the normal operating current
of the pump. This is necessary for the stop function to
operate.
During commissioning, the normal current values can be
read into the memory manually by depressing the push-
button marked "Clean"/Set Iref for longer than 4s (see
Fig. 2). Bear in mind that the push-button must be
depressed when the pump is running at full load.
If the push-button is depressed for longer than 4s, the
pump current at that time will be stored in the processor
memory. An LED for current indication will then flash as
acknowledgement of the current value having been read
in.
Note that this manual entry must be carried out for both.
