Installing the protective
cover
Never use the device without
the protective cover correctly
installed! Risk of injury.
1. Position the protective cover on the
shaft holder (34).
2. Attach the protective cover using the
screws (33) and tighten with the 5 mm
Allen key (25).
Fitting the Two-
Part Tube
1. Loosen the tube fi xing screw (35) on
the top shaft tube (8).
2. Pull the lock (11) outward and turn it
left or right as far as it goes.
3. Remove the protective cap from the
lower shaft tube (12).
4. Push the lower shaft tube (12) into the
upper shaft tube (8).
5. Pull the lock (11) outward and turn it
back to its original position.
6. Turn the lower shaft tube (12) with a
gentle rotating movement until the lock
(11) clicks into place in the bore on the
upper shaft tube (8).
7. Retighten the tube fi xing screws (35) by
hand.
Ensure that the bottom shaft tube is
sitting fi rmly and safely before start-
ing the equipment.
Dismantling:
8. Loosen the tube's mounting screw (35).
9. Pull the lock (11) outward and turn it
left or right as far as it goes.
10. Pull the shaft tubes apart.

Mounting the multi-
functional handlebar
1. Loosen the star screw (36) and remove
the handle mount (37) from the upper
shaft tube (8).
2. Insert the multifunction handle (10) into
the holder on the upper shaft tube (38).
The plastic lug on the multifunction
handle must sit in the guide rail of the
holder (38).
3. Fasten the multifunction handle to the
handle mount (37) and star screw (36).
The washer must be placed between
the star screw and the handle mount.
Tighten the star screw (36) by hand.

shaft tube (8) and the multifunction han-

Mount cutting tool

The protective cover must be
fully mounted when using the
thread spool. The protective
cover must be shortened when
using the blade (see section:
"Removing/mounting the pro-
tective cover extension").
1. Block the uptake spindle (51) using the
Allen key (25) as depicted. Use the
larger of the two Allen keys (5 mm).
Mount the spool:
2. Screw the spool cap (15) anticlock-
wise onto the uptake spindle (51).
Remove the Allen key (25).
3. Pull on both ends of the thread to re-
lease the threads from the grooves.
4. Trim the thread line to approx. 15 cm
to release strain on the engine when
starting and warming up.
