ASCENSION - CROLL
Type B rope adjustment device
Field of application
The EN 12841: 2006 ASCENSION and CROLL rope clamps are type B
rope adjustment devices used to ascend the work rope.
WARNING, the ASCENSION and CROLL must be used with a
type A backup device on a second (safety) rope (e.g. ASAP
mobile fall arrester for rope).
The ASCENSION and CROLL rope clamps are not suitable for use in an
EN 363 fall arrest system.
This product must not be loaded beyond its strength rating, nor be
used for any purpose other than that for which it is designed.
Compatibility
To satisfy the requirements of EN 12841: 2006 type A, use EN 1891
type A semi-static kernmantel ropes from 10 - 13 mm in diameter.
(Note: Certification testing was performed using BEAL 10 mm and
EDELWEISS Rescue 13 mm ropes).
In order to respect the EN 12841 standard, use a connecting assembly
of maximum length 1 m (lanyard + connectors + devices) for the
ASCENSION rope clamp.
Any equipment used with your rope clamp (anchors, locking
connectors, absorbers etc) must conform to EN standards.
Inspection, points to verify
Before each use, check the condition of the body, the attachment
holes, the cam and the safety catch (cracks, scoring, deformation,
wear, corrosion), the cam springs and axle. Make sure the teeth are
not worn out. Warning, do not use the rope clamp if any of the teeth
are missing.

of this product.
EN 12841
To limit the risk of a fall, the rope must always be under tension
between the rope adjustment device and the anchor.
Do not load the safety line when the working line is under tension.
Shock-loading can damage the anchor line.
Nominal maximum load = 100 kg.
EN 365
Anchorages: Work at height
The anchor point of the system should preferably be located above the
user's position and must conform to the requirements of the EN 795
standard, in particular the minimum strength of the anchor must be
10 kN.
Modifications, repairs
Any modification, addition to, or repair of the equipment other than
that authorized by Petzl is prohibited: due to the risk of reducing the
effectiveness of the equipment.
Traceability and markings
You must check to ensure that the product markings remain legible
during the entire lifetime of the product.
When to retire your equipment
Immediately retire any equipment if:
- it fails to pass inspection (inspection before and during use and the
periodic in-depth inspection),
- it has been subjected to a major fall or load,
- you do not know its full usage history,
- you have any doubt as to its integrity.
Destroy retired equipment to prevent further use.
Various
- WARNING DANGER, in general, take care that your products do not
rub against abrasive or sharp surfaces.
- WARNING, when using multiple pieces of equipment together, a
dangerous situation can result if the safety function of one piece
of equipment is compromised by the operation of another piece of
equipment.
- Users must be medically fit for activities at height. WARNING, inert
suspension in a harness can result in serious injury or death.
- You must verify the suitability of this equipment for use in your
application with regard to applicable governmental regulations and
other standards on occupational safety.
- The instructions for use for each item of equipment used in
conjunction with this product must be respected.
- The instructions for use must be provided to users of this equipment.
If the equipment is re-sold outside the original country of destination
the reseller shall provide these instructions in the language of the
country in which the product is to be used.

ASCENSION - CROLL
Dispositif de réglage sur corde de type B
Champ d'application
Les bloqueurs ASCENSION et CROLL EN 12841 : 2006 sont des
dispositifs de réglage sur corde de type B destinés à être utilisés en
progression vers le haut sur la corde de travail.
ATTENTION, l'ASCENSION et le CROLL doivent
obligatoirement être utilisés avec un dispositif de type A
en contre-assurage sur une deuxième corde appelée corde
de sécurité (par exemple un antichute mobile pour corde
ASAP).
Les bloqueurs ASCENSION et CROLL ne conviennent pas pour un
usage dans un système d'arrêt des chutes selon la norme EN 363.
Ce produit ne doit pas être sollicité au-delà de ses limites ou dans
toute autre situation que celle pour laquelle il est prévu.
Compatibilité
Pour répondre aux exigences de la norme EN 12841 : 2006 type A,
utilisez des cordes semi-statique (âme + gaine) EN 1891 type A de
10 à 13 mm de diamètre. (Nota : lors de la certification, les tests
ont été effectués avec les cordes Antipodes BEAL 10 mm et Rescue
EDELWEISS 13 mm).
Avec le bloqueur ASCENSION, pour respecter la norme EN 12841,
utilisez un ensemble de connexion de longueur maximum 1 m (longe +
connecteurs + appareils).
Les éléments utilisés avec votre bloqueur doivent être conformes
aux normes EN (Ancrages, Harnais, Longes, Connecteurs à
verrouillage...).
Contrôle, points à vérifier
Avant utilisation, vérifiez l'état du corps, des trous de connexion, de
la gâchette et du taquet de sécurité (fissures, marques, déformation,
usure, corrosion), les ressorts et l'axe de la gâchette. Vérifiez l'usure
des dents. Attention, s'il manque des dents, ne plus utiliser ces
bloqueurs.

EN 12841
La corde doit toujours être tendue entre le dispositif de réglage et
l'ancrage pour limiter le risque de chute.
Lorsque vous êtes en tension sur votre support de travail, veillez à ce
que votre support de sécurité soit non chargé.
Une surcharge dynamique est susceptible d'endommager les supports
d'assurage.
Charge nominale maximale = 100 kg.
EN 365
Les ancrages : Travail en hauteur
L'ancrage du système doit être de préférence situé au-dessus de la
position de l'utilisateur et doit répondre aux exigences de la norme
dispositifs d'ancrage EN 795, en particulier la résistance minimum de
l'ancrage doit être de 10 kN.
Modifications, réparations
Toute modification, adjonction ou réparation autre que celles
autorisées par Petzl est interdite : risque de diminution de l'efficacité
du produit.
Traçabilité et marquages
Veillez à ce que les marquages sur le produit restent lisibles durant
toute la vie du produit.
Mise au rebut
Cessez immédiatement d'utiliser ce produit si :
- le résultat des vérifications (avant, pendant, approfondie) n'est pas
satisfaisant,
- il a subi des efforts importants ou une chute importante,
- vous ne connaissez pas l'historique complet de son utilisation,
- vous avez le moindre doute sur sa fiabilité.
Détruisez les produits rebutés pour éviter une future utilisation.
Divers
- ATTENTION DANGER, de manière générale, veillez à ce que vos
produits ne frottent pas sur des matériaux abrasifs ou pièces
coupantes.
- ATTENTION, un danger peut survenir lors de l'utilisation de plusieurs
équipements dans laquelle la fonction de sécurité de l'un des
équipements peut être affectée par la fonction de sécurité d'un autre
équipement.
- Les utilisateurs doivent être médicalement aptes aux activités en
hauteur. ATTENTION, être suspendu et inerte dans un harnais peut
déclencher des troubles physiologiques graves ou la mort.
- Vous devez vérifier l'aptitude de ce produit pour l'utilisation dans
votre application par rapport aux règlements gouvernementaux et
normes de sécurité en vigueur.
- Les instructions d'utilisation définies dans les notices de chaque
équipement associé à ce produit doivent être respectées.
- Les instructions d'utilisation doivent être fournies à l'utilisateur de cet
équipement. Le revendeur doit rédiger ces instructions dans la langue
du pays d'utilisation si le produit est revendu hors du premier pays

ASCENSION - CROLL
Seileinstellvorrichtungen des Typs B
Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Die EN 12841: 2006 ASCENSION und CROLL-Seilklemmen des Typs B
werden zum Aufstieg am Arbeitsseil eingesetzt.
ACHTUNG: Es muss gleichzeitig ein Sicherungsgerät
des Typs A (z. B. ASAP mitlaufendes Auffanggerät an
beweglicher Führung) an einem zweiten (Sicherungs-) Seil
verwendet werden.
Die ASCENSION und CROLL-Seilklemmen sind nicht als Bestandteil
eines Auffangsystems gemäß EN 363 geeignet.
Dieses Produkt darf nicht über seine Grenzen hinaus belastet werden.
Es darf ausschließlich zu dem Zweck verwendet werden, für den es
entworfen wurde.
Kompatibilität
Verwenden Sie in Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen der Norm
EN 12841: 2006 Typ A halbstatische Seile (Kern + Mantel) gemäß
EN 1891 Typ A mit 10 bis 13 mm Durchmesser. (Anmerkung: Die
Zertifizierungsprüfungen werden mit den Seilen BEAL Antipodes
10 mm und EDELWEISS Rescue 13 mm) durchgeführt.
Übereinstimmend mit der Norm EN 12841 darf die ASCENSION-
Seilklemme zusammen mit einem Verbindungssystem
mit einer maximalen Länge von 1 m (Verbindungsmittel +
Verbindungselemente + Geräte) eingesetzt werden.
Die mit der Seilklemme verwendeten Elemente müssen die
EN-Normen (Anschlageinrichtungen, Gurte, Verbindungsmittel,
Verriegelungskarabiner usw.) erfüllen.
Überprüfung, zu kontrollierende Punkte
Überprüfen Sie vor jedem Einsatz den Zustand von Körper,
Befestigungsösen, Klemmnocken und Sicherheitssperre (Risse, Riefen,
Verformung, Abnutzung, Korrosion), Nockenfedern und Achse. Stellen
Sie sicher, dass die Zähne nicht abgenutzt sind. Warnung: Verwenden
Sie die Seilklemme nicht, wenn Zähne fehlen.

Sollten irgendwelche Zweifel hinsichtlich des Zustands eines Produkts
bestehen, senden Sie es zur Überprüfung an PETZL.
EN 12841
Das Seil muss zwischen der Seileinstellvorrichtung und dem
Anschlagpunkt immer straff gespannt sein, um das Sturzrisiko zu
begrenzen.
Wenn Sie an Ihrem Arbeitsseil hängen, achten Sie darauf, dass das
Sicherungsseil nicht belastet ist.
Eine dynamische Überlast kann das Führungsseil beschädigen.
Maximale Nennlast = 100 kg.
EN 365
Die Anschlageinrichtungen: Höhenarbeit
Der Anschlagpunkt des Systems muss oberhalb des Benutzers
angebracht sein und den Anforderungen der Norm EN 795
entsprechen. Die Mindestbruchlast des Anschlagpunkts muss 10 kN
betragen.
Änderungen, Reparaturen
Jegliche Änderungen, Zusätze und Reparaturen an der Ausrüstung,
die nicht von Petzl genehmigt wurden, sind aufgrund des Risikos, die
Effektivität der Ausrüstung einzuschränken, verboten.
Rückverfolgbarkeit und Markierungen
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Produktmarkierungen während der
gesamten Lebensdauer des Produkts lesbar bleiben.
Aussondern von Ausrüstung
In den folgenden Fällen sollten Sie Ausrüstung sofort aussondern:
- die Ausrüstung fällt bei der Überprüfung durch (Überprüfung
vor jedem Einsatz, während des Gebrauchs und regelmäßige
Hauptüberprüfung),
- die Ausrüstung wurde einem schweren Sturz oder beträchtlicher
Belastung ausgesetzt,
- die Gebrauchsgeschichte der Ausrüstung ist nicht bekannt bzw.
unvollständig,
- Sie haben irgendwelche Zweifel an der Zuverlässigkeit.
Zerstören und entsorgen Sie alte Ausrüstungsgegenstände sofort, um
weiteren Gebrauch zu verhindern.
Verschiedenes
- ACHTUNG, GEFAHR, achten Sie generell darauf, dass die Produkte
nicht an rauen Materialien oder scharfkantigen Gegenständen reiben.
- WARNUNG, werden mehrere Ausrüstungsgegenstände zusammen
verwendet, kann es zu gefährlichen Situationen kommen, wenn
die Sicherheitsfunktion eines Gegenstands durch einen anderen
Ausrüstungsgegenstand behindert wird.
- Anwender müssen für Aktivitäten in der Höhe gesundheitlich in
guter Verfassung sein. WARNUNG, das regungslose Hängen in
einem Gurt kann zu schweren Verletzungen oder sogar Tod führen
(Hängetrauma!).
- Überprüfen Sie die Eignung dieser Ausrüstung für Ihre Zwecke
hinsichtlich der geltenden behördlichen Bestimmungen und Normen
für die Arbeitssicherheit.
- Die Gebrauchsanleitungen für jeden Ausrüstungsgegenstand, der
zusammen mit diesem Produkt verwendet wird, müssen unbedingt
befolgt werden.
- Die Gebrauchsanleitungen müssen allen Benutzern dieser Ausrüstung
zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Wird diese Ausrüstung außerhalb
des ursprünglichen Ziellands weiterverkauft, muss der Verkäufer die
Gebrauchsanleitung in der Sprache des Landes zur Verfügung stellen,
in dem das Produkt zum Einsatz kommt.
