Safety instructions

The safety instructions for personal safety, the surroundings, and the goods being machined
depend heavily on the behaviour of the people using the machine.
Before putting the unit into operation, read the operating manual carefully and follow the
instructions to avoid errors and damage, especially damage to your health.
In addition to the instructions in this operating manual, comply with the national laws, regulations,
and directives in your country when setting up and operating the unit.
ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Before using the unit, check the mains lead and plug for damage. If they are
damaged, do not connect the unit to the mains.
HOT SURFACE!The metal surface around the combustion chamber and in
particular under the combustion chamber becomes hot during operation, which
results in the risk of burning. Avoid direct contact with bare fingers on this
surface.
Use the tweezers provided.
Exhaust gases generated during work must be discharged safely to the atmosphere.
The relevant national environmental protection regulations must be observed.
Work on the unit's electrical equipment must only be performed by trained service personnel.
The unit must be switched off when such work is performed.
Only use authorised original spare parts and accessories. Avoid other parts as they hide
unknown risks.
The functional efficiency and safety of the unit is only guaranteed if the necessary tests, service,
and repair work is performed by the Heraeus service partner or by personnel trained by us.
Heraeus Kulzer GmbH will accept no liability if the unit is damaged by faulty repair work which
was not performed by the Heraeus service partner or by trained service personnel, or if original
spare parts and accessories are not used to replace parts.

Intended use

The Heramat C ceramic furnace is a piece of laboratory equipment for producing ceramic
veneers in dental technology.
We recommend the use of original Heraeus-Kulzer alloys and materials of the "Heraceram"
series. If materials from other companies are used, the user must ensure that they correspond to
the state of the art and will have no negative effect on material and equipment.
If, in the event of damage, a causal relationship between other materials used and the technical
failure/damage/complaint is determined, a warranty claim against Heraeus Kulzer will not be
accepted.
The unit is suitable for setup and operation in the following areas: laboratories, e.g. in business,
industry, schools, universities, hospitals etc.
The unit is intended for continuous operation. It is designed for a service life of 10 years.
The unit must be operated by dental-laboratory technicians or assistants who:

have acquired their skills through technical training or instruction,
•
are qualified to perform their duties correctly,
•
can detect possible dangers when working with the unit.
