Note
Before tilting the outboard motor up,
after stopping the motor leave it in the
running position for about a minute to
allow water to drain from inside the
engine.

Manual Tilt type
Tilt up
With the shift lever in Neutral or For-
ward, fully tilt the motor up toward you
by holding the tilt handle provide at the
rear of the top cowl. Then slightly lower
the motor for locking in the up position.

Tilt down
Slightly tilt the motor up, and pull the
tilt lever toward you to release the tilt-
lock.
Then lower the motor slowly.
