The main parts of the KNAUER Smartline PDA Detector 2800 are shown
in Fig. 2. The light from both lamps (in the two lamps version) is focused
by separate optics, passes separate shutters and goes through two fiber
optical cables into the light mixer which provides perfectly balanced
mixing of ultraviolet, visible and near infrared light. All light then goes
through the flow cell and into the polychromator where it is split into a
spectrum of 190 to 1020 nm (one lamp version: 190 to 610 nm). The
whole spectrum is detected by a 1024 diodes (one lamp version: 512
diodes) diode array ( 0.8 nm per diode)..
The KNAUER Smartline PDA Detector 2800 UV has no halogen lamp,
just one shutter and no light mixer.
All KNAUER instruments are always packed carefully and safely for
transportation. After unpacking, please check the device and accessories
thoroughly for any damage that may have occurred during transport. If
necessary, put forward any claim for damages to the carrier.
