plug (1) and the return cable (9) to the negative quick plug
(2). The heat of the electric arc is mostly concentrated at the
tip of the electrode. Each type of electrode requires a specific
current type (AC or DC) and, in the case of DC current, a specific
polarity: the choice of the electrode therefore depends on the
type of power source used. Incorrect use will cause arc stability
problems and hence also welding quality problems.
4.
Choose the connection method according to the welding
process of the work piece. If you choose wrong, it will cause
unstable arc, spatters and stroke to the electrode. If there is a
fault, replace the mobile plugs.
5.
After the AC input terminal (7) of the welding machine
is connected to the socket, the power switch of the power
distribution device shall be turned on.
6.
Make sure the workpiece clamp (12) is fixed onto the
workpiece.
7.
Turn on the On/Off switch (6) of the machine: the power
light (5) will be on.
8.
Adjust the value of electric current in accordance to the
covered electrodes in use, with the current regulation knob (3).
9.
The covered electrode should be tightened on the electrode
holder (13) by clamping.
10.
After that, the welding operation can begin.
11.
In the process of welding, cover the face with a welding
mask (11) and put the free end of the covered electrode on
the workpiece. This is the best method for producing arc of
lighting.
12.
If the work piece is too far from the AC socket (50-100m)
the extension cable must be longer and adequate to welding
operations in order to reduce the voltage drop at the end of the
cable.
Switching off
•
Turn off the On/Off switch (6) of the machine: the power
light (5) will be off.
Tips for welding
•
Every welding machine has a pair of mobile plugs (1, 2):
make sure that the cables (8, 9) are firmly connected to the
plugs, or may result in a short circuit.
•
Every welding machine has a power cable, make sure
the voltage class is adequate to the one of the cable and in
accordance with the input voltage of the machine. If you
connect the machine to an outlet socket with a voltage higher
than indicated, the over-voltage protection device will activate.
Please turn off the power switch and connect the machine
correctly. The machine may be operated again after 2-3
minutes.
•
If the circuit protection device is active, leakage current
must be max 30A.
•
When you turn on the On/off switch (6), the ventilator will
begin to move.
•
Adjust the Current regulation knob (3), make welding
function complies with demand.
•
Generally, welding current is adequate to welding electrode
diameter: 0 2.5:70-100A; 0 3.2:110-160A.
•
If the welding machine has been connected to a remote
control device:
•
Check the switch position of the remote control device
before operating. If the switch is on "OFF" position it means that
it is out of remote control. If the switch is on "ON" position the
remote control device is being used.
•
Insert the plug of the remote control in the socket for the
remote control correctly and tighten firmly in order to prevent
poor contact.
•
If the remote control device is not in use, make sure the
switch is on "OFF" position, if not, the welding current will not
be adjusted on panel.
•
When the machine should be transported, pay attention to
the switch of the remote control. If it is bumped, it may turn to
a wrong position.
•
The operation should always comply strictly with the duty
cycle. If the duty cycle exceeds, that will make the welding
machine to stop working suddenly. Keep the fan working in
order to cool down the temperature of the machine, after 2-3
minutes, try to operate again the machine (the time for the
cooling, may change with the environmental temperature and
ventilation).
Precautions
•
When the thermal protection device is automatically reset,
the abnormal working light (4) will be off. When the thermal
protection device is acting, the welding power will have its
output and the abnormal working light (4) will be on. But
welding operation can't be done.
•
Do not rub the workpiece with covered electrodes for
doing so may result in damage to the workpiece and difficult
arc starting. Upon arc starting, keep proper distance away from
the workpiece and the distance should be consistent with the
diameter of covered electrodes in use. In the process of welding,
please do your best to keep this distance unchanged. The angle
between covered electrode and working direction is kept within
the range of 20°-30°.
•
Electrode holder used to clear away and move the hot
workpiece should be the same one.
CAUTION
NOTE: Electrode holder (13) and clamp (12) must be placed on
the insulated support after finishing welding. Only after the
covered electrodes cools, you can clear away the melting slag
on it. To re-weld the interrupted welding seam, the melting
slag in the welding position must be removed first.
•
The machine is equipped with overheating protection.
When the overheating protection acts, the abnormal working
light (4) will be on. At this time, please stop welding and let it at
rest for a moment to cool.
•
If the cables (7, 8, 9) are excessively long, the electric current
may be lowered down, which may result in poor performance
of welding.
•
The voltage of the power shall be kept as steadily as possible
for the alteration of voltage may affect the use of the welding
machine.
•
If the voltage is 10% lower than the rated input voltage of
the welding machine, it may result in:
