Anti stick protection:
machine if the electrode sticks to the material being welded
so that it can be removed manually without damaging the
EN
electrode holder (13).
Initial operation
Always use the correct supply voltage: the power supply voltage
must match the information quoted on the tool identification
plate.
Operating instructions
Requirements for the operating environment
1.
The welding machine shall be set at the places which
have good ventilation and no dust, humidity and vapor in the
environment;
2.
Do not operate the machine in an environment which is
polluted with the presence of dust or corrosive gases.
3.
The welding machine shall be kept out of sunlight and rain.
It shall not be used in rain.
4.
The machine can perform in environments where conditions
are particularly harsh and with outside temperature between
–10 and +40 degrees centigrade, with a dampness level of max
80%, with an altitude below 1000 m.
Connection with the input power
1.
Before the power is connected, please check to see if the
voltage of the power is compliance with the rated voltage of the
machine.
2.
The conductor connected with the main unit shall be triple-
core cables. Two of them are input power cables and another
two-color (yellow/green) cable together with the PE pipe sleeve
is the grounding wire.
3.
When connecting the main power source to this welder,
distribution equipment equipped with overcurrent protectors
such as switch, outlet (socket outlet) and fuse should be
configured. Connect the voltage output terminal of main power
source to the voltage input terminal of this machine with cable.
4.
The replacement of cables (8, 9) shall be done by people
with professional qualifications.
5.
Before using the machine, please connect the workpiece
clamp with the work piece and ensure good grounding for the
work piece.
6.
The effective length for the AC input terminal (7) shall not
be less than 2m.
Specifications for the load duration rate
1.
The load duration rate refers to the percentage of the actual
work time in the total work time (10 minutes is considered as 1
cycle). For example, if the load duration time is 60%, it means
the machine has 6 minutes of welding operation and then has
4 minutes of idling. The rated load duration rate is relative to
automatically shuts down the welding
rated current. When the machine is operated below the rated
current, even if it has high load duration rate, the machine can
still be used.
2.
It is prohibited to use the welding machine with load
duration rate higher than the rated value.
3.
Serious over-load may cause the damage to the machine.
Even if it is not damaged, the life time of the machine may be
shortened.
4.
Over-load will deteriorate the stability of performance of
the welding machine and the welding machine may not work
normally.
Preparation before welding
1.
Properly wear protective mask, insulated gloves and work
clothes. While operating in a narrow, humid or high-temperature
space, the welder shall use insulated and temporary supports.
Furthermore, in order to insulate from the ground, you shall
wear insulated gloves or wear other protective clothing made
of insulating materials. If this welder is used in a place with
electric hazard, for example, used in a conductible narrow space
(oil can, pipes, etc.), humid space (where the work clothes may
wet), high-temperature space (where heat may penetrate the
work clothes), the no-load output voltage mustn't be above 48V
(effective value). Therefore, if the output voltage is just 48V, this
welder can be used in the above-mentioned environment.
2.
Connect machine's positive terminal to electrode holder
and the negative terminal to workpiece clamp.
3.
Connect the work piece clamp with the work piece.
CAUTION
NOTE: make sure that the earth clamp is directly connected
with the work-piece. It is a must to keep away from the
work-piece surface coated with paint or insulating materials.
Protective mask must be always worn in the whole process
of welding because it can protect eyes from optical radiation
produced by arc of lighting and ensure that the welder is able
to see the work-piece clearly.
Welding
Switching on and use
1.
Check if welding machine is well grounded according with
demands.
2.
After inserting the mobile plug in a mobile socket, make sure
they have been tightened. Plugs and sockets will be burned up if
they have been operating long time and the current is high.
3.
Pay attention to the electrode of the cable. DC welding
machine has two connection methods: positive and negative.
•
Positive connection:
when the welding cable (8) is connected to the negative quick
plug (2) and the return cable (9) to the positive quick plug (1).
The electric arc concentrates the heat produced on the piece
and causes its melting. In this way, as the core of the electrode
melts, it is deposited and penetrates into the welding joint.
•
Negative connection:
when the welding cable (8) is connected to the positive quick
