4. Operation

The two-pole voltage tester is used to identify live wires and
equipment. By its clear indication of the flashing LED's and the LCD
display, it is easy to perform various measurements, such as a
voltage or resistance measurement.
Note: Keep in mind that with each measurement, your hands and fingers are behind the
Integrated Protective Lip to prevent injury or flashovers.
4.1 Voltage measurement
Before each measurement, check the voltage tester for functionality
by taking a measurement on a known voltage source.
To perform a voltage test, connect the object to be measured with
the test probes of the voltage tester. If a voltage higher than 6V is
applied, the voltage tester will switch on automatically and show the
measured value using the LED's / LCD display. Furthermore, it is
displayed at the same time, whether it is an AC or DC voltage at the
measured quantity. At measured voltages above 50VAC / 120VDC
the symbol light starts to light up.
To "freeze" measured values, the hold key can be pressed at any
time. If the current value is to be displayed again, the hold key must
be pressed a second time.
