For each colour of cards there are 3 levels of difficulty,
shown by 1, 2 or 3 stars. The star symbol enables the
children to accurately gauge the degree of difficulty and
thus the skill required. The degree of difficulty is mainly
determined by the number of motifs involved.
Both the green edged and blue edged picture cards
include representations of wooden figures that have to
be set up 'the other way round'. A small orange arrow
on the back of the card shows which figures need to be
turned round.
The brown lines on the front of the card give a clue to
finding the right grooves for the figures. If a figure
is to be placed in a groove, it is shown as a short line.
Lines running all the way from right to left of the card
indicate that this groove on the base board is to be left
empty, between two grooves with motifs positioned on
them.

How to play:

Simple version:
All the grey edged cards are selected and are
stacked, picture uppermost.
First a picture card with one star (difficulty
level 1) is laced in the card holder and the base
board with the three grooves uppermost is placed
centrally in front of the player(s). The box with one mirrorside and one
magnetic side is not needed in this version.
The task is to find the motifs shown on the card and position them
correctly on the base board. When doing this, the children should
always begin at the front and work backwards, starting with the first
groove.
Afterwards the right position can be checked out by looking at the
back of the card, which shows the spatial positioning of the motifs. The
grey lines help with the checking process.
Picture cards which have already been solved are placed on a separate
pile. A new card of an appropriate difficulty level is selected, and placed
in the card holder.
When all the situations on the grey edged picture cards have been
successfully reproduced, the advanced versions can be tried out.
