Operation

Open the shut-off valve for the compressed-air
supply.
Make sure that you have good balance, and that
your feet are not too close to the tool.
First press the breaker into the work surface, then
depress the throttle.
With machines that have vibration-damped hand-
les, adapt your feed force so that the handle is
pressed about halfway down. This position gene-
rally gives the best damping effect.
Check regularly that the breaker is properly lubri-
cated.
If possible, avoid idle percussion, i.e. operating
the machine without a tool, or when it is lifted off
the work surface.
Changing the tool
!
WARNING
Before changing the tool: Stop the machine,
switch off the air supply and vent the machi-
ne by depressing the throttle.
Stopping the machine
In the case of short stoppages, set down the bre-
aker in such a way that it cannot be started acci-
dentally.
In the case of longer stoppages, or when you lea-
ve the worksite, switch off the air supply and vent
the machine by depressing the throttle.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is a precondition for the brea-
ker to remain in safe working condition.
Clean and inspect the breaker after each usage.
Always make sure that the breaker is well lubrica-
ted during operation.
The breaker should be dismantled and all its parts
cleaned and inspected after each operating period of
approx. 150 running hours or 2 times per year.
Transport and storage
Always clean the machine before storage.
Always store the machine in a dry environment.
Fault finding
If the machine will not start, has poor power or is
operating unevenly, check the following items.
Check to make sure that the tool being used has
a shank with the right length and the right size
hexagon.
Check to make sure that the machine is getting
the correct amount of lubricant. Note that too
much lubricant can create starting problems, poor
power or uneven operation.
4
Check to make sure that the machine is connec-
ted to a compressed-air system that provides the
correct working pressure and delivers the right
amount of air so that the machine can provide full
power.
Check the size and length of the hose. For ho-
ses with lengths up to 30 meters, a hose with the
smallest diameter 3/4" (19mm) should be used. If
the hose length is between 30 and 100 meters, a
hose with the smallest diameter 1" (25mm) be
used.
If there is a risk of freezing, check that the machi-
ne's exhaust valves are not blocked.
If the machine is still not functioning properly, contact
an authorized service center.
Tool
It is important to use high quality tools in order to
avoid damaging the machine.
Using the tools listed in the machine's spare parts list
is recommended.
Any unauthorized use or copying of the contents or any part thereof
