16. Disposal

Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be placed in household waste. At the end of its
service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations. Remove the inserted
batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.

Disposal of used batteries/rechargeable batteries!

You are required by law to return all used batteries. They must not be placed in household waste.
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with symbols to indicate that disposal in do-
mestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury,
Pb=lead (the marking can be seen on the battery, e.g., underneath the refuse bin symbol shown on the left).
Used batteries can be returned to local collection points, our stores or battery retailers.
That way you fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment!

17. Troubleshooting

In purchasing this meter, you have acquired a product which has been designed to the state of the art and
is operationally reliable. However, problems and malfunctions may still occur. This section tells you how to
troubleshoot common issues:
Error
The device does not
work.
The measured value
does not change.
"- - - -" is displayed
The device does
not respond to any
keystrokes.
Any repair work other than that described above must be carried out by an authorised technician.

Possible cause
Are the batteries empty?
The HOLD function is active.
The measuring range has
been exceeded.
The temperature sensor is
missing or defective.
The processor is overloaded.
Solution
Check the status.
Replace the batteries if required.
Press the "HOLD" button.
The meter is not suitable for this measurement task.
Check that the plug is inserted correctly and that the
sensor cable is not damaged.
Use a thin pin (for example, a needle, paper clip,
etc.) to press the side "RESET" button (17). The
button is located under the side cover (19). The
processor will be reset and the meter will turn off.
The meter can be turned back on normally.
