14. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Except for the battery change and occasional cleaning, the meter is maintenance-free. Use a
clean, lint-free, antistatic and slightly moist cloth to clean the device. Do not use any abrasive
or chemical agents or detergents containing solvents.

15. DISPOSAL

a) Product

For the sake of our environment and for the best possible recycling of the raw
materials used, the consumer should bring any used or defective devices to the
public recycling sites for electronic scrap.
The symbol showing a crossed-out dustbin on wheels means that this product
must be taken to a collection site for electronic scrap to ensure the best possible
recycling of the raw materials.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used
batteries/rechargeable batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is
prohibited!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing toxic substances are marked with the
symbols shown, which indicate they cannot be disposed of in household waste. The
descriptions for the respective heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury,
Pb = lead.
You may return used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the official
collection points in your community, in our stores, or wherever batteries/recharge-
able batteries are sold.
This way, you will comply with your statutory obligations and contribute to environmental
protection.
